i just found out that shang chunsong grew up very poor and the reason for her being very petite at 20 yrs old is because of malnourishment at an early age and her brother, shang lei, who has a visual impairment quit school at age 13 to became a blind masseur for her when she started gymnastics and the main reason she competes is to have enough money to support him in hopes of curing his eyes and buying him a house.
